Knicks Overcome 21-Points Shock Philly
The New York Knicks overcame a double-digit deficit to take the lead last Saturday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. Then the Clippers tied it to send it into overtime and the Knicks lost. So, when the
team was down 21 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, the game was over because of tired legs, right? Wrong.
The Knicks fought back to win going away, 108-97 Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. Former New York Knick and Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers had strong criticism for his team while complimenting the Knicks. “They were a mentally tougher team and they deserved to win,”
Rivers said.
New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau about Rivers the comment and
talked about the team’s resiliency. “We have a great group of guys,” he started.
going to make some mistakes, but we want to learn from the mistakes
and get better for the next time. That is really the thing that we try
to drive home. Make sure the process is the right process. Make sure
we are working the right way. We put the necessary work into getting
ready to play each game.”
Julius Randle led the team with 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
