The New York Knicks were down 15 points at the beginning of the fourth
quarter, but fought back and almost defeated the Los Angeles Clippers
in regulation. The Clippers tied it at the buzzer to force overtime,
and Los Angeles pulled away to take a 134-128 win over the Knicks at
Madison Square Garden last Saturday night.

After missing Thursday’s game, Jalen Brunson returned to lead the
Knicks with 41 points, while dishing out 7 assists. Julius Randle
added 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists.

New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau discussed the team’s resiliency.

“The fight was good,” he said. “It was the last play, and we have to
come up with that. We can’t have a hangover; we just have to get ready
for the next game and learn from it and get better. I thought we did a
lot of good things throughout that game and especially in the fourth
quarter. Our offense was good throughout, our guys were unselfish and
made good plays. The one thing that probably hurt us was the fouls,
but we can’t whack down on these guys.”

The Knicks hosted the Philadelphia 76ers on the second night of a
back-to-back Sunday evening.
