Though the Philadelphia Eagles will have to put points on the scoreboard to win against the Kansas City defense, the key to victory may be the ability to contain Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City running game.

If you really turn the tape on, they run the ball very well. And they do a really good job and have a couple good backs that run really hard.”

Patrick Mahomes is likely to win NFL MVP. To win, the Philadelphia defense will have to contain the explosive ability of Mahomes, especially his ability to scramble out of the pocket to make big pass plays and run for crucial first downs.

Mahomes ran for 358 yards this season, averaging a career-high 5.9 yards per rush. If the Eagles do not get pressure on him and allow him to make big plays out of the pocket, Mahomes will likely win Super Bowl MVP as well. The Philadelphia defense has risen to the occasion all season, and to win Sunday, they will have to do so against the best quarterback in the National Football League.
