Hey Atlanta, here’s what to do for Fourth of July Weekend

Fourth of July is only a few days away, and the Atlanta Voice has curated several events happening this weekend to enjoy.

1.     AJC Peachtree Road Race (July 4, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

–       Be one of 150,000 spectators cheering on the 60,000 participants in the country’s largest road race. The ​​race takes place along the course’s 10-kilometer route from Peachtree Road at Lenox Square Mall to Piedmont Park. 

2.     Stone Mountain Firework Display (July 1-7)

–       ​​ transforms into the ultimate Independence Day destination, packed with exciting attractions, live entertainment, and a breathtaking fireworks and drone show that lights up the night sky.

3.     Stockbridge’s 4th of July Extravaganza Featuring Jagged Edge at VyStar Amphitheater (July 4)

–       The venue ​​will host their 4th of July Extravaganza, returning Friday, July 4th, 2025, at the VyStar Amphitheater at the Bridge. This free, family-friendly event will feature a high-energy night of music, culture, and community, headlined by Grammy-nominated R&B legends Jagged Edge. Hosted by iconic Atlanta radio personality Greg Street of V-103, the event will also showcase live performances by rising star Juiicy2x and emerging talent Austin Rogers, bringing a dynamic blend of R&B, soul, and youthful energy to the stage. Gates Open: 5:00 PM | Show Starts: 7:00 PM

–       Location: VyStar Amphitheater at the Bridge, 4650 N. Henry Blvd., Stockbridge.

4.     City of East Point 4th of July Celebration (July 4, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

–       ​​ and the East Point Main Street Association will host its annual Salute to the Red, White & Blue, a free, family-friendly Independence Day celebration featuring live music, local vendor market, kids’ games and entertainment, and the largest fireworks display in South Fulton County. The event, held at the Downtown East Point Commons. Hosted by Sinnamen Success and DJ Fie, and will include performances from a diverse lineup of Georgia-based artists Dri Jack, Amaye, Tony Evans Jr., and RAHBI.

5.     Peach State Block Party (July 4, 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.)

–       This ​​ is the perfect place to celebrate the holiday with your friends and family. With live music, food trucks, and games, there’s something for everyone at this block party. Dance the evening away to your favorite tunes, indulge in delicious bites from local vendors, and challenge your friends to a game of Connect Four or Jenga. Plus, don’t miss the spectacular fireworks show that will light up the Atlanta skyline at nightfall.

6.     Fourth of July Adult Field Day (July 5, 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

–       Get ready to unleash your inner child at the ​​ – expect fun games, good vibes, and a fireworks show at the end.

–       Location: D.H. Stanton Park, 213 Haygood Avenue Southeast, Atlanta
